My story:

Since I was young, I’ve always turned to journals as a place to put my thoughts, dreams, and struggles. Writing gave me a sense of stability when life around me felt uncertain.

One of the first journals I ever held was a small handmade book left behind by my father. Though my relationship with him was difficult and his choices took him out of my life, that book showed me something important, that even in imperfection, there can be beauty, and even in absence, there can be inspiration.

That single journal sparked something in me. Over time, I found myself not only writing in books, but wanting to create them. Bookbinding became more than a craft; it became a way of reclaiming my story, of turning challenges into something tangible and lasting.

Now, every journal I make is a reflection of that journey. Each stitch, fold, and cover is a quiet reminder that from hardship can come resilience, and from brokenness can come beauty. My hope is to go far in this craft, not just to honor my own path, but to create books that will hold the stories of others, giving them the same sense of refuge and possibility that journals have always given me.
